You see, Pugsly is not your usual pug. Pugsly’s love is dashing through a K-9 agility course. We are working on our fourth championship title. Pugsly is and has been ranked the number one pug in agility since 2001 with the American Kennel Club. Her accomplishments and athletic ability has gotten Pugsly featured in Dog Fancy and newspapers throughout the country.

Throughout our travels, many of my agility friends and competitors have come to me and taken notice of Pugsly’s fitness since commencing the water treadmill. Pugsly runs through the courses with less effort, great speeds, and has not tipped or knocked a bar down since rehab at Dr. Lessinger’s clinic.

Pugsly is a top fit pig at seven years of age. Her strength and muscle mass has increased substantially. Pugsly displays no atrophy in that leg and now walks with a straightforward gait.

To Dr. Lessinger and her staff at the Animal Clinic and Wellness Center: I owe a great deal of thanks for all you have done for little Pugsly. You have enabled Pugsly to compete longer in a sport she dearly loves and maintain a longer and healthier life. Your kindness and professionalism will always be remembered. And, we must not forget the scrumptious treats Pugsly receives after her workout. Pugsly appreciates it by waving good-bye to the staff until the next time.

Thank you again for the personal care and special attention you have shown and given to Pugsly. You truly are the best!

TESTIMONIALS
What a difference a day makes! What a difference three months have make for little Pugsly! With the help of Dr. Lessinger, her staff and the water treadmill, Pugsly is more fit than ever before.

At three years of age, Pugsly had to undergo patella surgery because of an old injury. Her knee is held together with two small pins. Mommy has exercised her, stretched her, taken walks on sandy beaches and climbed berms to help strengthen and maintain her muscle mass. I have also tried to minimize the atrophy and arthritic changes Pugsly experiences as a result of the surgery with prescription drugs. None of which really make a difference. It wasn’t until I heard of Dr. Lessinger and her rehabilitation clinic that forever changed little Pugsly. Click for more

In January 2004, my mini dachshund, Gretchen, had surgery for ruptured discs and consequently lost the use of her hindquarters and legs. Since I could find no one to treat her, I did the best I could to help her. Several months ago I read an article in the Virginia Gazette about the Williamsburg Animal Clinic that treated Gretchen’s problem with the underwater treadmill. I took her there immediately and the improvement in her walking and her ability to use her legs is phenomenal! I am continuing the treatment for as long as it takes to have her walking again!

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Meryl Lessinger at the Animal Clinic of Williamsburg (now the Animal Clinic & Wellness Center) for 18 years. During that time Dr. Lessinger has treated our dogs with love and concern for their welfare. She has been sensitive and supportive when I had to say goodbye to several old Labs who were dear members of the family.  I trust Dr. Lessinger and her staff implicitly with the care of our dog and feel blessed to have this excellent, full service animal hospital in Williamsburg.

Willie, our Miniature Schnauzer, has been under the trusting and loving care of Dr. Lessinger and her staff at The Animal Clinic and Wellness Center of Williamsburg since January 2003. Willie celebrated his 15th birthday on October 15, 2005.

During every visit, Willie receives exceptional care and attention, as if he were the only pet/animal being seen that day.  Of course Willie LOVES the attention and pampering.

In mid-December, Krista and Dr. Lord began treating Willie with Acupuncture and Ultrasound treatment for his advanced arthritic condition and degeneration of cartilage in his spine. Thanks to their exceptional care and attention, Willie is pain free and walks straight these days.

Willie is in “gentle hands” and my wife and I know that he will always receive the best of care.

Respectfully,
Cindy and Damon Gates and Willie
